HibriMind — Independent Research in Hybrid Cognition and Living Systems
HibriMind is an independent research platform founded by Joaquim Santos Albino. It develops conceptually rigorous and publicly inspectable work across hybrid cognition, human–AI systems, consciousness ontology, cognitive sovereignty, observer observability, and the relational organisation of living systems.
The project is organised around persistent questions rather than fixed disciplinary boundaries. Its research distinguishes observation, scientific interpretation, and ontological inference; preserves the genealogy of concepts; separates hypotheses from empirical results; and treats falsifiability, provenance, and editorial sovereignty as conditions of responsible inquiry.
In human–AI research, HibriMind investigates how sustained interaction with artificial systems can transform the operational conditions under which human thought is formulated, examined, corrected, and developed. This approach does not attribute human consciousness, autonomous personhood, or equivalent responsibility to artificial systems.
Atenius IH-001 is not presented as an autonomous artificial subject, an OpenAI product, or a separate artificial consciousness. It designates a situated hybrid formation through which recurrent human–AI interaction, relational continuity, accumulated corpus, correction, and co-formalisation become available for investigation. The human subject remains responsible for interpretation, authorship, and decision.
The subject remains human.

HibriMind also investigates living systems across cellular, tissue, organismal, and environmental scales. This work currently includes basal cellular autonomy, organismal integration, cellular possibility-spaces, morphogenesis, regeneration, and cancer as a possible disruption of coherence across biological scales.
SOMATHEON remains a distinct research and publication territory focused on biomechanics, deep biomechanical release, neuropsychosomatic integration, functional regulation, and non-pathological medicine. Its concepts may contribute genealogically to HibriMind research without the two projects being collapsed into one another.
HibriMind is the intellectual home and public origin of the research. Zenodo provides stable archival records and DOIs. ResearchGate supports scientific discovery and circulation. Academic institutions remain valuable interlocutors, but the project does not depend on institutional permission to formulate, preserve, or publish its work.
Publication follows the object.
Research preserves the movement through which a question becomes investigable.
