Additional Note
Yesterday, we announced our official presence within ResearchGate, one of the world’s largest scientific communities. Today, we would like to add a brief description of the platform’s identity and purpose, as well as the way it supports researchers in sharing their work.
ResearchGate is an international academic network that brings together millions of researchers across all disciplines. Its purpose is to foster collaboration, visibility, and accessibility in science. Beyond being a repository of publications, it is a dynamic environment where knowledge circulates through articles, projects, data, and scientific dialogue.
The platform’s architecture reflects this mission:
Each researcher maintains a public profile functioning as a living academic record, including affiliations, publications, metrics, and ongoing projects.
A personalized home feed displays updates from peers and relevant research fields, strengthening cross-disciplinary exchange.
Dedicated sections for publications, projects, datasets, and Q&A allow researchers to publish preprints, upload full-text articles, share data or code, and engage in open discussion.
Metrics such as the RG Score, reads, citations, and recommendations highlight the impact and reach of contributions.
Through this structure, ResearchGate acts as both a scientific showcase and a collaborative forum, providing researchers with the tools to connect, share, and expand the boundaries of knowledge.
